Is a deposit required?
A deposit of 1/3 of your quoted total project price is standard and you get a detailed work agreement so that you know what to expect.
How long will it take for my web site to be completed?
Most projects will take less than 30 working days after the submission of all project-related materials. After (30) days, if Galerie François has not heard from you, the project is considered finished.
Who writes the content for my site?
The creation/development of the content that goes on your web site the responsibility of the web site owner and/or their designated copywriter.
What are the costs involved in creating my web site?
Aside from the fees listed in the Fee Chart, below are a couple of costs that must be incurred in order to get your site live:
Domain Name: This is also known as your "web address". Starting at 11.99/year.
If the domain name is registered through Galerie François, we will be notified of renewal status, we charge a small fee for this service. If you registered the name yourself, then you are responsible.
Hosting/Servers: $60 per year. Hosting includes email with 1GB total storage. Your personalized email account is customized to the domain name that you use for your web site.
Hosting is your website's home on the Internet that you buy or rent as a place for your web site and domain name to reside. You need this in order for your site to be seen on the Internet.
How about Search Engine Optimization Services?
Services rendered through Galerie François are Web Design Services, not Search Engine Optimization (SEO) expertise or placement services. Basic key words and descriptions will be placed into the code of your site. Extensive SEO expertise/placement, if needed, must be sought through the firm of your choice specializing in those services.

What if I already have a hosting company and want to stay with them, but have Galerie François create my web site?
Easy. Just make Galerie François an authorized FTP user so that files can be uploaded to your desired hosting company's server.
What happens if I change my mind and want a different design?
At the beginning of the project you have the opportunity to choose a design theme. If the job is in mid-stream you still have the right to change your mind, and start the process anew, but you will have to compensate Galerie François for time spent.
What happens if I need updates to my web site?
Should you forsee the need for regular updates (i.e. monthly), we can discuss a web maintenance agreement that best suits your needs.
How can I transfer my site to you?
Galerie François can move your site(s) to your Dedicated Server, neither free or paid transfer services carry any guarantee. The majority of transfers are completed in less than 24 hours, however, due to the nature of some transfers and depending on how many are currently in the queue, it could take up to 72 hours or more before everything is completed. Do NOT cancel your old hosting account until you have changed DNS and thoroughly inspected your site to ensure everything was transferred properly.
What if I don't want to use Galerie Francois any longer, will you return the website to me?
Yes, if your payments are current, you be supplied a CD containing a copy of your website for a $20 fee. Please don't ask how to rebuild your site on our competitor's servers, that is their job.
